Divine Vibes: German master of techno rhythm

If you're an avid Cross Rhythms radio listener you'd be hard put to name an act who emanates from Germany and who has made it to the heady heights of the Cross Rhythms playlist. But now that "Who Can Be Against Us" by Divine Vibes is a regular on your favourite radio station you might be already booking a ticket to Dresden to check out clubland there.

That's where Divine Vibes, otherwise known as keyboard player, producer and techno maestro Simon Wittwer, lives. Dusseldorf-born Simon had his first piano lessons at age seven and has now found a successful way of integrating lines of Scripture with an electronic melodic techno beat and as Cross Rhythmsers will know, the result sounds good on radio as well as on the dancefloor.

A single released in 2024 "As It Is In Heaven" used the Lord's Prayer as its creative building block. At the time Christian Music Today wrote, "Divine Vibes is on a mission to merge Scripture with modern sounds, creating an atmosphere of strength and unity." This skilled techno groove maker has released singles doing the same with fragments of Romans 8, Joshua 34:15, Philippians 4:7 and others. Clearly, CR listeners are in for a Bible teaching treat. CR
